Photographer & Artist | Exploring movement, connection, and material process
Howdy! I’m Maisy — a professional photographer and artist based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
My work focuses on action sports photography, with a particular emphasis on snowboarding culture. I’m drawn to capturing movement, atmosphere, and the connections between people and place — whether on the mountain, in the streets, or behind the scenes. My images have been published in several editorial outlets, including a cover feature for Snowboard Canada.
In addition to digital work, I have a growing experimental practice centered on Polaroid processes. I’m particularly interested in the material qualities of instant film — exploring how the physical emulsion can be manipulated, lifted, and reimagined to create new forms and textures. This hands-on approach allows me to push the boundaries of photographic presentation and expand the ways my images can exist beyond the frame.
My attention to detail — shaped in part by my background in custom framing — informs every stage of my process, from image-making to final presentation.
Inspired by nature, human connection, and the quiet moments that often go unseen, I approach photography as both a documentary tool and a space for experimentation. I am continually exploring new possibilities for where the medium can go — and how the stories I capture can resonate in new and unexpected ways.
